pride_of_erin made me do it

Blame her, of course... *g*

1. Favorite scent: smell of the sea
2. Favorite way to relax: reading slash fics and my LJ flist.
3. Favorite movie you own: The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Gone with the wind
4. Favorite movie you don't already own: The Usual Suspects and Reservoir Dogs
5. Favorite male movie star(s): IMO a movie star is someone like Tom Cruise or Leo di Caprio. They're not my favorites, but Tom's face covered walls in my bedroom when I was 17 (don't laugh, dudes!). Anyway my favorite actors right now are Chris Meloni (and all guys from Oz), Jason Isaacs and Gary Oldman (his Dracula spoiled me for life).
6. Favorite female movie star(s): I really like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Cate Blanchett but couldn't say they're my fav movie stars. Anyway they're the only ones I remembered liking right now.
7. Favorite book genre: historical romances, fiction in general.
8. Favorite clothing store: I'll pass this one, because only Brazilian people on my flist would understand my choice.
9. Favorite non-clothing store: read answer above!
10. Favorite cartoon character: Cartman from South Park - oh, I love this boy!
11. Favorite CD you own: Ladies and Gentlemen: The Best of George Michael
12. Favorite CD you don't already own: George Michael's Older - I used to have it but sold some time ago, I have to buy it again.
13. Pass the torch to five of your LJ friends: noblerot, aswanargent, alinewrites, dustandroses and lisacali

You like Reservoir Dogs! You're the only other person I've heard admit that. I love both those movies. A lot.

Oh, yes! Me, too! And that's very true about Dracula. I was watching Blade 3 the other night, which has Dracula in it, and I was thinking he was *nothing* compared to Gary Oldman's Dracula.

Reservoir Dogs
Okay, that does it. I'm going off to friend you now. (I also like the film, and I have the DVD. Ditto for The Usual Suspects.)

Re: Reservoir Dogs
Cool, right back at you! Do you like Pulp Fiction also? I have no one ot watch these with. My husband watched RD with me, then I couldn't get him to watch Pulp Fiction at all. But those and The Usual Suspects are three of my absolute favorites. The writing is wonderful, and some of my favorite actors are in them - - Sam Jackson, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey, Benicio Del Toro...

Re: Reservoir Dogs
I hate to admit it, but I've never seen Pulp Fiction. It's something I always mean to rent/buy when I'm somewhere that has DVDs, but I never seem to do it. Could be because I'm not much of a Travolta fan (liked him in Face/Off with Nicholas Cage, but that's about it). Kevin Spacey and Harvey Keitel, now .... mmmmm.

Re: Reservoir Dogs
Don't pay too much attention to Travolta, girl, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis are fantastic, you'll love Jackson's famous speech (and wig) and Willis deciding which weapon he should use to rescue Ving Rhames from rapists. A great movie!

Oh, you have to see it! Parts of it are so funny, in an awful sort of way.

And I'm with you on the Travolta thing, but he's tolerable in this He and Sam Jackson are good together.

Yes!! It seems they were in the right place, in the right time - these movies have fantastic casts, somebody should have got an Oscar for joining them!

I've been reading all these comments about my preference on Reservoir Dogs and I don't understand - didn't American people like it? I was at college when I first watched it, I remember my friends were very excited about it, everybody so in love with that Tarantino guy, and I really liked it then. I liked a lot his other movies too (Bruce Willis chosing a gun before saving Ving Rhames at Pulp Fiction is one of the most hilarious scenes I'd already seen!!) but RD was absolutely perfect!!

Oh, no, I don't mean for it to seem that way. I think a lot of Americans loved it. I'm in Georgia, the *deep* South, so not a lot of people here seem to like it. Certainly not in my circle of friends/family. My husband doesn't like Tarantino's stuff because of the violence.

I see your point, that's the same opinion many friends of mine have about Oz, they don't see it because it's a violent show - and they don't understand why I love it , *sigh* (but some of them understand that male nudity can be enough to make me watch that show, LOL)
