May the road...

End of Toby's LJ remembered of this gaelican blessing

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

It's so simple and deep at same time! Most part of time we wish happiness, success, health, money, joy and many other things to people we love. But God's love and care aren't the only things really indispensable? There's a small prayer Brazilian children are taught in order to say it before sleeping: "In God's companion I sleep; in God's companion I wake up, with God's grace and the Holy Spirit too" (sorry for translation, but that's the general idea). I must remember it more frequently, to keep God in my companion. That's the most important, that will make me strong enough to conquer everything else.

Sorry, it wasn't the idea, but I'm glad you were touched for it!
