A very nice weekend...

... in which I wasn't locked at home at all, LOL
Yesterday there was a lunch with Oz fans: me, Ana and winthrop - yeah, Mrs. Winthrop now has her own LJ, even if she'll only use it to comment everywhere!
She lives near me, so I went to her house in order to go together to the mall where we'd have lunch. Well, when I arrived there her mother told me she was sleeping, at 11 a.m. (not a big deal, I do that frequently too on weekends *g*). Probably she was dreaming with Andy Powers. But after a quick shower she was read to go out.
At Rio Ana was waiting for us, and since all of us were starving to death we looked for a place at mall to have lunch. There's a nice Chinese food restaurant there, so that was the place we chose.
While eating we discussed a lot about... Smallville! It's good to see we're not so obsessed about only one show, LOL
Whatever. Those girls watch it and know a lot about CLex adventures, and it was perfect because as I often watch it they could explain me many things: why Lex's father is cruel to his own son, why Lex doesn't have hair, age difference between Lex and Clark, why so many people hate Lana, etc.
We talked and took photos (I'll post some here soon), it was a pity we didn't have a sunny day. That mall is in front of Sugar Loaf, a popular tourist place in Rio, we took photos of it, and of course with blue sky it'd look better than in a cloudy day. But nothing could be done about that.
Ana had to look for a gift to a friend, so we looked for it too. There were nice shops there, specially those with cute stuff like toys, pens, teddy bears, boxes, cards, dolls... I really like this kind of stuff, but I don't even have enough money or space to buy many of this.
After some time winthrop and I came back to Niterói, Ana stayed there to wait for her cousin, they were going to the movies. It was a pleasant afternoon, really.
And this Sunday was my cousin's birthday lunch. It's interesting, I'm not so close to those relatives but it was a pretty funny occasion. I was the official photographer, even using two cameras (mine and his). It's a weird part of my family: my uncle and aunt, his parents, divorced few years ago, married other people, divorced them and now they're married again. Her ex-husband was there with his new wife and his older son from his very first marriage. My uncle's son from his other marriage was there too. My cousin's new boyfriend was there taking care of her son, and her ex-mother-in-law was there too. Really civilized people, I doubt I'd know how to behave like them.
Anyway food was delicious, everybody enjoyed themselves, there were many gifts to my cousin, and that's it. A real life weekend!

It was unexpected, Anne, but slash is slash, no matter the pairings... LOL
But it was really good for me, those girls know a lot about CLex universe, and although I'm not watching it I'd like to learn more about those boys!
