The last post of the year!!

So it’s time to think about what happened during the last 12 months... do I really have to do that? OK, OK, 2003 was a good year, many good things happened. And of course I decided to do many things that I didn’t do. But I found new friends on internet, and met my old friends from real life (well, I should have met them more times, I’ll try to improve that next year!!). That was really good, and I’ll try to continue with this agenda at 2004.

It was funny to finally meet the people who write all those weblogs I’m used to read: Vela, Beto Santos, Ricardo Schott, Fábio Lima, Sophie and Samantha (and it’s a long time since we talked, girls!), Madame L@ra... nice and elegant people!
And what about people I’ve known because of my Oz obsession? Robertinha Winthrop, actizera, alinewrites, debaser28, Ana and Lisiane, Miguelita, fiola_rf... there are many interesting people surfing on web, just waiting to be found! If I didn’t have another reasons to say 2003 was a good year, meeting all those guys would be enough!,

OK, Oz possessed me this year, and it seems this obsession will continue to control my life next year. But because of it I met many nice friends, found lots of interesting sites and discovered tons of fics to read. By the way who needs to sleep, instead of surfing?

At 2003 I decided to study English again, and it was a good decision. And my mother had her stomach surgically reduced. She’s losing more and more weight each day, and that’s perfect to her health and self-esteem. She’s more beautiful, more happy, and if God helps I’ll reduce my stomach at 2004 too. We’ll be the most gorgeous and healthy ladies of our family, LOL!!!

But for sure there was stress at my job. Lots of stress. Many bad moments, and I’ll try hard to find myself another job on next year. It’ll have other problems, other sick people working there, but all this will be new to me, and anyway I’ll survive, because now I’ve know-how in facing those daily little nightmares.

Here in Brazil there’s an old habit at end of year: giving flowers and gifts to Iemanjá, the sea goddess of candomblé (a kind of religion which was brought to Brazil by African slaves), at December 31st. She’s a nice woman, always dressed in blue, with long hair, and she loves flowers. Tons of Brazilians, even if they don’t believe in candomblé, follow this habit, asking for her protection during the following year, throwing those flowers and gifts (mirrors, combs, etc.) at sea. Last year I gave her yellow flowers, asking for protection to my financial life (financial life? Jesus, do I have it???). And she did protected me: there was money inside my wallet during the entire year. Not so much money, but enough to survive. This year I’m distant from a beach, so I’ll only give her flowers next weekend. I hope she can forgive my delay and help me through 2004.

Decisions to the next year? Meeting my friends more frequently; update this LJ more times, and also my blog and my fotolog; exercising at gym club again; taking good care of my health...

Did I say fotolog? Yeah, I did. It seems I’m never satisfied, I don’t even have enough time to update my blog and this LJ, so now I also have a fotolog. If you want to give it a try click here. I don’t have my digital camera yet, but I’ve mastered in using Ctrl C + Ctrl V and PrintScreen. Anyway I’ve already have some photos to be posted there.

Ah, yes, about Point Break: you know, I saw it a thousand times before, but this time I was looking for Lee Tergesen, and I did find him. So different, using long and dark hair... and so few scenes! Well, it had to be enough, at least until next Friday, when I’ll see Autumn in New York, that Winona-is-dying movie. J. K. Simmons works in this movie!!!!

How can this nice guy brand a swastika in someone’s ass??

VCR alert: if you’re in Brazil – it’ll be at Globo, about 10 p.m., next Friday!

Ah, but I won’t finish the last post of the year with that Schillinger man, no way!! I prefer this photo...

That’s all, folks. Have a fantastic 2004! Take care of yourselves, don’t drink too much, use condoms, stay pretty and come back whenever you want!!!

Hi, Aline! I also liked that picture, although it doesn't have the best definition - and he looks so nice and decent... nobody could think this guy, looking so calm, would be one of the best bad guys ever seen on a TV show!!

Adriana, one of the best things about Oz fandom is the interesting people that I've met and you are one of those people. That's why my interest in this fandom is still so strong(well the fact that CM and LT are so hot really helps*g*). I hope you find a new, better job.And a man that looks like Meloni;)Happy 2004!

Lovely photo, and thank you for sharing that tidbit about Iemanjá, I love hearing about traditions like that.

Yes, wouldn't it be great to find a guy like that? It's just not fair that Sherman won't let him be cloned. ;)

Rebecca, he looks absolutely gorgeous in this photo, doesn't he? And yeah, Sherman should let him be cloned - I guess she'd make a good money selling his clones! :o)

OK, baby...

All it is possible, Adriana, if you wish it with your heart. When I got Lee`s autographed picture I couldn`t believe it and it was in Spanish!
