Cabs and kilos

On my first two weeks back to work my mother made me go there and come back home using a cab. It was good, the driver was a nice woman, but today I started going by bus (although still coming back by cab), and it was really, really better! I mean, I didn’t miss staying inside a bus for about an hour, but it was really good watching streets I was used to pass by again, and all shops and people...
And now I'm 19 kilos (41,9 lbs) slimmer!! I’m soooo happy, you can't even imagine, people!!!! I had 4 trousers and 2 blouses reduced, and bought 5 new blouses (3 of them are still a little tight, I’ll have to lose maybe more 3 kilos to fit). Anyway I have old blouses which are fitting perfect now, it’s like having a new wardrobe! Of course I’d love to have Trinny and Susannah here to help me buying new clothes eventually – for the last 2 or 3 years I’ve been wearing black trousers because they always made me look slimmer, but now I want to try other colors. I swear, I’ll never use black trousers again when I’m 40 kilos slimmer!!!! :o)

That's great! It's nice to hear that everything went well in the end and you're happily dropping pounds and have clothes shopping to look forward to!

My friend had the surgery several months ago, and she's running through clothes like crazy. She keeps saying "I fit into my old size such-and-such pants!" A couple weeks later - "Size such-and-such pants fell off me! Whee!" Of course, while joyful, it's sort of a pain in the ass, as I'm sure you'll find/are finding. She keeps outshrinking things as soon as she buys them. She's resorted to just shopping at thrift shops, and the clearance rack to save money until her weight settles down to what it's going to stay.

That's why I'm not crazily shopping, I think it's better waiting a little more, maybe two or three months. I don't want to lose recently bought clothes, you know what I mean? Anyway it's cheaper to reduce old clothes and buying 2 or 3 new ones eventually. But I'm already saving money for my new collection, LOL

I intended to have them developed today, but as I was too late to work there wasn't enough time to deliver them to the photo shop. Anyway I'll do that tomorrow, probably on Friday I'll post my new figure here to everybody see!!

Yesss! Congratulations, Adriana. You deserve this happiness because you had the courage to change. Start looking for cool bikinis for the 2006 summer because it will be one hot season. ;)
